CHILLER, coolant producing machine
Chillers are the central element of numerous industrial and civil cooling systems used in many production processes and equipment that need to be cooled.
They are essentially water coolers (or water/glycol mixture) which is cooled inside a small accumulation tank inside the chiller itself and then recirculated, via a pump, inside plates or heat exchangers immersed in the liquids whose temperature must be lowered. The cooling circuit is closed by returning the water to the chiller where it is cooled again. The temperature of the water inside the closed circuit is controlled by the thermostat which lowers it to the set value. The value indicated on the thermostat refers to the temperature of the coolant inside the closed circuit.
Particularly suitable for the controlled fermentation of musts as well as the precipitation of tartrates, being able to bring the glycol temperature down to -3°C.
They are free of special maintenance and immediately ready for operation; just fill the circuit with coolant.
