Insulated and refrigerated tanks

Stainless steel containers with built-in refrigeration unit

MARTE Series (Open Sky) and GIOVE Series (Hermetic Manhole Cover)

Production of professional refrigerated stainless steel tanks.
Available capacities: 50, 75, 100, 200, 300, 500, 800, 1000, 1500 and 2000 litres.

Our thermocontrolled stainless steel tanks they are designed for controlled fermentation of wine and beer , ensuring optimal thermal stability also for the storage of oil and milk or chemical liquids that require accurate temperature control

The peculiarity of these refrigerated tanks is that they have a refrigeration unit fixed in the lower part of the tank itself . This allows the direct gas expansion coil to be in close contact with the outside of the tank containing the liquid, thus allowing the latter to cool uniformly without the need to use plates or coils immersed in the liquid. Everything is then insulated with insulating polyurethane and further covered on the outside by a casing also in stainless steel.

These tanks can be open-air (MARS series) or with an airtight upper hatch (GIOVE series), and have a second outlet for the total discharge of lees in the case of controlled fermentations or tartrate precipitations.

All tanks are equipped with digital thermostat/thermometer which allows you to set and maintain the desired temperature during the cooling cycle which can drop, in the case of SUPER motors, up to -8° (use with grappa and distillates) or up to -3° in standard motors.

On request these tanks can be supplied equipped with the 'HEATING' option which allows them to be heated as well as cooled, therefore they can be used for malolactic fermentation and as beer fermenters. In models equipped with electrical resistors (heating) it is possible to heat the contents of the tank up to temperatures of 30°.

If it is necessary to maintain a uniform temperature of the liquid, the use of stirrers is recommended to avoid stratification.

STAINLESS STEEL TANKS WITH TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED VIA DIGITAL THERMOSTAT.

MARTE series insulated and refrigerated stainless steel tanks (open air)

Refrigerated tanks are stainless steel containers designed to store liquids or substances at a controlled temperature

They are used in oenology and in the beer sector to control the fermentation of the product

They are also used in the chemical and industrial sectors to maintain the temperature within the pre-established thermal range

PNEUMATIC FLOAT KIT FOR MARTE TANKS

Pneumatic floats serve to protect liquids such as wine, oil and other foods from oxidation, creating an airtight barrier between the liquid in the tanks and the outside air, isolating the product and preserving it during storage.
They swell to fit snugly against the walls of the tank, forming a barrier that prevents contact with oxygen

Thermoregulated tanks with 'heating' option

The photo shows a phase of the assembly of one of our 2000 liter refrigerated tanks on which the "heating"option is installed, obtained with the application of a heating cable (highlighted by the red arrow) next to the refrigeration coil.

Temperature management occurs via digital thermostat : the system activates the fridge motor or the heating resistance in full autonomy to match the real temperature with the setpoint set by the user.

The cable has a power of 50W/M . We usually propose a power of 1 W/litre (e.g. 500W for 500 litres), which allows a thermal increase of approx 1.2°C/hour . Upon request, it is possible to install higher powers.

The application of the heating cable must be done at the time of initial assembly of the tank and cannot be added subsequently to pre-existing tanks as both the heating cable and the cooling coil are incorporated into the insulation of the tank.

The surcharge applied for the 'heating' option is:

  • • Up to 300 litres: €390
  • • From 500 to 800 Lt: €600
  • • From 1000 to 2000 Lt: €800

As an alternative to the heating cable it is possible to heat the liquid contained in our refrigerated tanks (and in any other container open at the top) using a ELECTRIC IMMERSION HEATER of the CALOR series.
